Supporting the Growth of Massachusetts Community College Faculty and Staff

The Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges (MACC) and Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies (CPS) have partnered to expand access to graduate education for community college employees across the Commonwealth.

Through this partnership, all full-time faculty and staff at any Massachusetts community college are eligible for a 25% tuition scholarship for any master’s degree or one of two doctoral degrees: Education (EdD) or Doctor of Professional Studies (DPS).

The goal of this initiative is to strengthen leadership and professional capacity within Massachusetts’ community college system. By making graduate education more accessible and affordable, the program supports the continued development of those who play a vital role in advancing student success and educational opportunity statewide.

Scholarship Overview

  • Eligibility: Full-time faculty and staff employed at any Massachusetts community college
  • Scholarship Amount: 25% reduction in tuition
  • Programs Available: A wide selection of master’s degrees and two doctoral degrees: Education (EdD) or Professional Studies (DPS)
  • Format: Coursework can be completed fully online* to accommodate working professionals

*Doctor of Education program requires one additional in-person weekend residency in Boston.
