Programs at the Community Colleges

Berkshire Community College

The SUCCESS program at Berkshire Community College is integrated within the college’s Academic Advising and Coaching unit to offer these services using a case management approach.

Bristol Community College

Bristol’s SUCCESS program is integrated within their Advising & SUCCESS center. Navigators work with eligible students to see them through application to orientation and then they provide a warm handoff to assigned Academic Advisors, who work as a team with Success Coaches to provide proactive student support.

Bunker Hill Community College

The SUCCESS program at BHCC is known as Community Connect. The program specializes in serving students from top sending neighborhoods served by BHCC but is open to any interested student. Advising and peer support are two key aspects of the program.

Cape Cod Community College

4Cs4U is the SUCCESS program at Cape Cod Community College. The program provides intentional support, including advising and math learning services, to students who are yet to complete or do not place directly into college level math.

Greenfield Community College

SUCCESS services at GCC are offered through the college’s Advising Center. Participating students benefit from advising, success coaching, peer mentoring, and basic needs support.

Holyoke Community College

SUCCESS at HCC offers two distinct programs designed to support student achievement through mentorship, coaching, peer support, and community engagement. ALANA Men in Motion is a student success program that fosters academic achievement, leadership development, and a sense of belonging. The program centers the experiences of African American/Black, Latinx, Asian, and Native American men, while welcoming all eligible students committed to personal growth and collective support. Student Ambassador & Mentorship Program (SAMP) is a peer mentorship and leadership development program that centers women, non-binary, and LGBTQIA2+ students, while welcoming all who seek to build community, strengthen belonging, and grow as student leaders.

The SUCCESS Scholars Program at Massasoit offers academic and career advising as well as peer coaching. A unique aspect of the program is the student-led Participatory Action Research (PAR) project.

MassBay Community College

SUCCESS services at MassBay are offered through the college’s Academic Advising, Coaching and Transfer Center. Participating students benefit from proactive academic advising, inclusive coaching, peer mentoring, embedded tutoring, and personalized guidance throughout their academic journey.

Middlesex Community College

The SUCCESS Scholars Program at MCC centers the experiences of Asian American, Black, African American, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ communities, but welcomes all eligible, currently enrolled students who are committed to personal growth and collective support. The program facilitates peer mentoring relationships, provides opportunities for reflection and self-examination, builds personal financial wellness awareness, and teaches academic and career readiness skills.

The SUCCESS Scholar Program at MWCC is offered through MWCC’s Office of Advising, Career & Transfer. The program provides students with opportunities for academic success, career investigation, identity exploration, and leadership development.

North Shore Community College

The SUCCESS program at NSCC is known as Realizing & Inspiring Student Excellence (RISE), which is a cultural and academic community celebrating the contributions and achievements of Black, African American, African, Latina/o/é, and/or 2SLGTBQI+ students. RISE provides student programming, academic scholarship, and career development. Any student interested in celebrating the contributions of NSCC’s culturally and academically diverse community can join RISE.

Northern Essex Community College

The SUCCESS program at NECC is known as SOAR (Seize Opportunities, Aspire to Rise). SOAR seeks to promote increased persistence of academic and career goal completion by creating a trusted, familial, community through forming connections, empowerment, and holistic, individualized, support.

Quinsigamond Community College

The SUCCESS Scholars program at QCC is integrated with advising services and provides a holistic, case management style of advising, supporting the whole student and connecting them to the college’s web of resources as needed to support their success.

Roxbury Community College

SUCCESS services are offered at RCC through the college’s Center for Student SUCCESS, Advising & Retention. Services such as academic advising, coaching, training, peer support, and self-empowerment are tailored to each student’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Springfield Technical Community College

At STCC, the SUCCESS initiative is supported by two dynamic programs designed to enhance student achievement through inclusive academic support, mentorship, coaching, and community engagement: the Male Initiative for Leadership & Education (MILE) program and Lead: Female Leadership & Mentoring Program.

SUCCESS receives funding through the Massachusetts legislature and is supported by the 15 state community colleges, the Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges (MACC), the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education (DHE), and the SUCCESS Leadership and Coordinating Committees.
